One of the earliest Highland tourist attractions, The Hermitage is a picturesque ‘wild tree garden’, landscaped since the 18th century by the Dukes of Atholl. Home to one of the tallest trees in Britain – a Douglas Fir – it remains one of the most popular beauty spots in Perthshire and is now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland.
