This book was made as a response to the mechanical/organic project based on derelict plant machinery at the Folkingham airfield. As I pursued the nature of mark-making I became interested in the way that certain marks started to gain an autonomy - shapes became anthropomorphic or calligraphic - this in turn gave rise to the idea of the 'unreadable book' using a spurious script based on these forms.
